SSESE ISLANDS, KALANGALA DISTRICT, LAKE VICTORIA, UGANDA

What a great escape. Ssese Islands located in L. Victoria is a wonderful place for one to relax, away from the stress of daily living. The journey commences aboard a ferry which connects the main land to the islands via Nakiwogo landing site situated in Entebbe. While on the ferry, one is met with breathtaking views of the lake with clear blue skies followed by a massive expanse of water to no end. One is simply amazed by the beautiful water waves that reflect the color of the sky. At a glance, one can see other surrounding islands, clearly not marked as one of our destinations. From a far, one can assume that these islands are inhabited however this can not be confirmed. This will be an adventure for another day. Upon arrival at Ssese islands,  we are met with scenic views of trees indigenous to the area, an exquisite shoreline and friendly locals offering assistance to find lodgings. Musana Camps is located by the shores of Lake Victoria in Uganda. With breathtaking scenery, it is a perfect place to take a retreat away from the busyness of the city center. Encompassed by a massive shoreline, the beach is an entrance to a whole new adventure awaiting to be experienced once one is brave enough to hop on a canoe bound to the several islands close by. Aboard the canoe, one experiences the huge waves underneath. For the fainthearted, it is an experience never to forget.  A lovely sunset awaits the courageous enough to board the canoe to the island. Upon arrival to one of the islands, one is amazed by the rocks that cover the ground like a carpet. Onward to the mother rock whose peak can be arrived to via the caves by the shore.  There lies a large array of smooth sea rocks, those that could only be found at the bottom of the lake. What awe when you discover that once upon a time, this island was under wate
